19th Hat Yai Nature Run 2012
Welcomes all Runners for His Majesty the King’s Trophies
 
 
    Prince of Songkla Unversity, along with private organizations, organizes the 19th Hat Yai Nature Run at Hat Yai campus on Sunday August 11th, 2013.


     The organizing units compose of Hat Yai Running Club, Tourism Authority of Thailand (Southern Office, Region 1), Hat Yai Municipality, Kohong District Municipality, and the 42nd Senanarong Military Camp.


     Hat Yai Nature Run is one of the national running competitions in the south of Thailand that has the highest number of runners. A number of 3,570 runners came to participate in the competition last year. Among these runners, 2,974 runners were Thai and 596 were foreign runners. This activity aims to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 84th birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King and support the the promotion of exercise for health. The participants of this competition will include all types of runners such as outstanding runners, amateur runners, school students, and university students. The awards for the competition will be classified into 2 main groups of runners from the ASEAN and outside the ASEAN.

Runners in the ASEAN
   First place winners of men overall and women overall in the half marathon competition will be individually awarded with His Majesty the King’s Cups.
   The following winners of each age group will be individually awarded with trophies:
                          Half Marathon                     Quarter Marathon
    Men          1st - 5th place winners         1st - 5th place winners
    Women     1st - 5th place winners         1st - 5th place winners


   The following winners of each age group will be individually awarded with souvenirs:
                          Half Marathon                     Quarter Marathon
    Men          6th - 5th place winners         6th - 10th place winners
    Women     6th - 10th place winners         6th - 10th place winners

Runners ourside the ASEAN
   First place winner of the half marathon competition will be awarded an Honor Trophy.
   Cash prizes will be awarded to the following half marathon winners.

                               3rd                     1,000 Baht

If you have participated in Hat Yai Nature Run for the last 5 years, you don’t need to refill up the application form. You just walk in and give your name to the staff at the registration desk. The registration will be proceeded conveniently.

   Hat Yai is Southern of Thailand's major commercial, communication, entertainment and shopping center. It is located in Songkhla province, 947 km. from Bangkok and 50 km. north of the Malaysian border. It is a very poppular city for tourists from neighbouring countries, it is also the region's communication hub and is easily accessed by cars, trains and by planes.
